A. Anthony (Tony) Hughes is the founding President and Chief Executive Officer of Beach Community Bank in
Ft. Walton Beach, FL. The bank opened on April 27, 2001 and today has twelve offices in Fort Walton Beach,
Pensacola, Mary Esther, Destin, Niceville, South Walton County, and Gulf Breeze, Florida. Two additional
offices are expected to open soon in Navarre and Crestview. The bank holds over $675 million in total assets,
$60 million in capital and employs 145.
In 2006 he was appointed by Florida Governor Jeb Bush to serve on the
Committee for a Sustainable Emerald Coast, which was charged with
strategically planning for Northwest Florida’s growth and quality
of life issues over the next 20 years. The Committee finished their
work and submitted their report to Governor Charlie Crist in January
2008.
Active in his church, he is the past Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Gulf Breeze United Methodist
Church and has served on the Church’s Executive Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. He also
occasionally fills in as a guitarist and bass guitarist for the Church’s praise band.
Joseph E. Oder
brings to the industry over 32-years of government service. Having
served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, he retired as a Brigadier
General. Since his retirement in 1997, he has worked in private
industry. He has served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of
Energy Dynamics Inc. located in Destin Florida. Prior to joining the
Gorlin Companies Joe was the President of the Enterprise Engineering
Group, Titan Corporation. Before joining Titan he was the Vice
President of Federal operations for Nortel Networks.General Oder has a
Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Master of Science in Economics.
